Update finally!!

October has always and will always be a busy month for me.  Fun, but no time to catch up on much need rest.  Let's start from the weekend of my birthday (10-17).

Saturday: It was fuuuun.  My long childhood friends aka "cousins" came to town just for me!  Awww!  We ate at the Cheesecake Factory (I really enjoy that place!!), and later that night went to the Lion and the Rose for drinks.  Most of my friends from school joined me there.  Later on that evening, some of us went back to my apartment to watch Snatch and mellow out :P.
Sunday, my cousins, Alan, and I went to Jim's.  That place is kind of like a Denny's meets IHOP.  We had a wonderful waitress ^_^.  Then, we went back home to watch some anime until they had to go back home.  Ah, good times.

Next, this past weekend 10-24.

I went back home to Killeen on Friday (I only work 4 days, but 10 hours long =_=).  It was nice and much needed to be with my mom, sister, and Mickey.  Thursday, I had a really bad low, so I figured I need to change atmospheres.  Fortunately, I had planned this trip for a while due to my mom's birthday on the 26th.  So, Friday we didn't do much.  I got to hang out for a bit, and we ate at my mom's favorite place: a chinese buffet called Yank Sing.  Normally, I give her a hard time about eating at buffets but she had some troubling health news from her doctor...I still worry a lot about it, but my mom is so tough made it's ridiculous.  So, I stfu and ate at the buffet :P.
Saturday, Mom made breakfast & dinner, and we went walking at the community center for an hour or more.  Another easy-going day.  I'm feeling much better.
Sunday, we went to the Round Rock Outlets.  I bought my mom a gift set of some nice rose water scented body stuff from Crabtree & Evelyn for her birthday.  She got me egg shaopao (the round and usually white bun stuffed with usually meat) because I'm a vegetarian, and bought me a new pair of Nike's so I may use them and lose weight.  Thanks, Mom.  Good lookin out! :P
I also bought myself a few pair of running pants and a shirt.  Then, we ate at Chili's, hung out another hour at the outlets, and I went back to my adult life in San Antonio.

The only downer to busy SOCIAL weekends:  homework rarely gets touched.

School-wise:
I'm doing alright.  I'm improving slowly but surely in my drawing skills.  The Textile class...I'm not taking anything away from that, and Merchandising is interesting.

Relationship-wise:
My long-awaited visit from my sweet and wonderful love has been put on hold again.  Seems the school administration added two more tests to Dave's curriculum...but oh well!!  We are now shooting for the first friday of December :).  Good things come to those who wait ^_^.  I'm a brat though...so I'm convincing him to stay with me until our 1 yr anniversary (for me it's Jan. 23rd).  I hope he can :x

Updates::Decision made!

I'm terrible doing routines and whatnot, so I've decided to update my blog weekly.  Unless something amazing happens to me or someone I know.  Then, game over - no more extra lives - no reset button!

Catch up!

Mwahahahaha!!! I just found this site isn't blocked at my work :D Okay, time to catch up since Saturday. Forgive me on the lack of details.

-Saturday-
Day of Tourism! Mo and I went to the Alamo, found a sweet gift shop, and watched Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. That movie was awesome as I had no expectations going into it :P. Later that night, Mo took me out for my birthday dinner at the Tower of Americas (nka ChartHouse, I think) where I had the best shrimp & crab fondue and lobster bisque of my life. Seriously. It was orgasmic. o.o After dinner, we strolled around the Riverwalk, and then went home.

-Sunday-
Day of Relaxation! So, originally we had planned to go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, but I had a blister on my foot and was catching a virus or something since my voice was hoarse and my throat was sore. We ended up watching movies all day, and eating homemade cheese drops & veggie soup. Fun, yum, and yum!

-Monday-
Back to work and school! Mo left early this morning to continue her awesome road-trip to Florida. I'm sad, but I know we will meet up again! Well, I had to go back to work WHICH SUCKS, but pays the bills. I was so tired I fell asleep at my desk :D Anyway, after another mind-grueling and extremely uneventful day at work, I went to my first class of this term: Fashion Sketching. Our teacher is my role-model!!! She's a local lady, but got her B.F.A. from Parsons University in Fashion Design, and worked in Paris for 9 years. o.O I was so stoked! She's very nice, and also very honest, which suits me perfectly. Today we practiced drawing full, three-quarter, and profile-faces. I'm extremely excited to see how the rest of my classes will pan out!

First Friday's

Today's a back-post of yesterday :P

Well, one of my best friends in the entire world has come to visit me!

Monica Jo McCary - best roommate ever, sister from another mother, sweetheart of gold, old as dirt j/k ^^

So, I don't really care too much for this city, as I rather prefer living back in Hawaii where we both had a blast.  I was a bit at a loss for what to do and show her, because I haven't really done much of the touring thing myself.  Really, I just moved here, schooled here, and worked here :P.

She did come at a great time (a time when I know an event going on lol), though.  Every first Friday of the month, this city has a downtown celebration of various local artists near Blue Star (a restaurant that brews its own beer).  So, I figured I could take her to First Friday's since we both have a fondness for appreciating art.

Personally, I found the evening to be awesome.  I had a Golden Beer & Nachos Borrachos from Blue Star, saw hits and misses of canvas art and international folk art, and got to see a crowd of Capoiera lovers and members.  That was really cool ^^.  Oh!  I had a hot-dog tasting shrimp kabob too!  >.<  Salty, but yummy nonetheless.  At the close of the evening, I came away with a sweet red plaid hat.  If and when I get a camera, I will post pics :P.  I'm gonna ask Mo for some pics XD

Since Mo's here on vacation, I am too!!! XD
